Good luck keeping your job in the video editing industry! Wonder Dynamics has created an INSANE new product that uses AI to replace human actors with a CG animation. Think about making Avatar 10x easier, or animating Spielberg's ET, with just a click of a button.

Check out the demo, it is crazy.

Aspiring and independent filmmakers often face budget constraints that make it impossible to create realistic CG characters.

Wonder Dynamics aims to change this with a platform that simplifies the process, making it accessible to creators on a budget. The company's web-based editor, Wonder Studio, allows users to add CG characters to their scenes easily and affordably.

According to their YouTube video, the tool "automatically animates, lights and composes CG characters into a live-action scene."

Co-founded by Nikola Todorovic and actor Tye Sheridan, the platform is designed to empower artists, not replace them. Wonder Studio offers a straightforward approach to generating motion capture data, clean plates, masks, and 3D environments, all automatically matched to the qualities of the shot. The goal is to automate 80-90% of the "objective non-creative" tasks involved in VFX work, leaving artists to focus on the more creative aspects.

Despite concerns about job loss in the VFX industry, the demand for these services remains high. With the ability to streamline the process, VFX houses may be able to take on more projects without sacrificing quality. Wonder Studio aims to make it simple enough for novices but powerful enough for professionals, providing drag-and-drop functionality and raw data output.

The platform includes sample models to help users understand the capabilities of the tool. It also allows artists to create and import their own models or purchase them from others. Future plans include adding CG environments and camera motion capture features, along with various pricing plans for users.

Wonder Studio is currently in beta and has already received a powerful endorsement from renowned action directors, the Russo Brothers, who are using the platform for an upcoming Netflix movie. By bridging the gap between low-budget filmmaking and big-budget productions, Wonder Dynamics hopes to make storytelling through film more accessible to everyone.
